My 3rd tour in Suwon!

Hey guys, I'm so sorry for delaying my post. My fall semester had already started so I'm kinda busy adjusting myself to my busy schedule again. In this post, I would like to share with you guys on my 3rd trip to Suwon as Suwon Cultural Ambassador. I would like to thank Suwon Cultural Foundation #suwoncf for giving me this opportunity to experience Korean's Culture and witnessing the beauty of Suwon. If you guys have been reading my blog, I guess you know that I was selected as the Suwon Cultural Ambassador and this was my 3rd tour with the other ambassadors.

This tour was one of my favourite! We were asked to gather in Korean Traditional House, Suwon. Our first activity was experiencing Hanbok! I believe that all of you who had came to Korea wouldn't miss the opportunity to wear their traditional clothes which is called "Hanbok". Although this was not my first time wearing it but I've been wearing it the wrong way previously. Now, I finally get to know the right method of wearing Hanbok. The kind and friendly teacher who taught us the method of wearing Hanbok and also the meaning of the colours that each Hanbok represent. The one that we were asked to wear is yellow & red in colour. This yellow & red Hanbok means that you are not married. Next, we were taught about how to sit in a proper manner. I find this really interesting because I always wanted to learn more about Korean Cultures.

Next, we get to learn about 다례, which is known as Tea Ceremony. If you guys ever watch Korean History drama, there are a lot of scenes which they showed about the tea ceremony. I was so excited as this is my first time. I always thought that making a tea is simple where you just take a tea bag or using a tea diffuser and add hot water to it. After being taught about it, I finally know the proper way to prepare tea!

Last but not least, its cooking time!!! We were taught on how to make Korean Traditional Food! I really enjoy cooking though I'm not really good at it. Were were divided into 3 groups of 4 members in each group. First, the teacher will demonstrate on the steps then after that, we were given time to prepare all those dishes that were taught by the teacher. It was really fun where we get to learn on how to cook those dishes while getting closer to your teammates at the same time! After cooking, of course we get to taste the food that we cooked! Surprisingly, it turned out to be super delicious!

This tour was really an unforgettable one! Want to experience what I've been experiencing? Then don't miss the opportunity to visit Suwon when you come to Korea! You won't be regretting paying a visit to Suwon!

Make your own fragrance!

I'm back with another interesting topic! Recently, I just discovered somewhere that we can DIY our own fragrance! I was super excited when I finally found where I can make it cause I really been wanted to experience this! Thinking of a special gift for someone special, NOW you don't have to think about what to buy! This handmade fragrance would definitely be a very SPECIAL gift to your special one!

There are a few shop where they provide this kind of service where you can make your own fragrance. I found this shop through #instragram and I start searching for their website. (Link and direction to this place will be explained at the end of this post) I was so excited when I managed to find a shop where they provide this service. Without hesitating, I made my reservation through the website by filling up a form and on that day itself, I received a message from the person in charge asking me for further details about the kind of perfume I would like to make. It was super efficient.

Finally, it is the day for me to make the one & only perfume that could be found in this world! The shop is very cozy and comfortable. Don't worry if you can't speak Korean because there are staff who can speak really good English. First, I have to choose a base which I want for my DIY perfume. I chose the floral scent base because I personally prefer floral scent fragrance more than fruity scent fragrance. There are 4 types of base that we can choose from. Then, I have choose what scent that I want to add in my base. There are so many varieties of scent that I can choose to mix with my base. I was given a paper where I note down the scent that I want to add in my base.

It was really fun! It took me about an hour to complete my one & only fragrance. So, if you guys are coming to Korea and wanted to experience this fragrance making, I suggest that you make the reservation early through the website.

Here is the website: GNPerfume
For those who can't read Korean, I will translate the page for you!

Short getaway to Taiwan

Hey readers, I'm here again updating my #throwback post. Sorry for the extreme late throwback post but hope you guys enjoy this post. I will be posting about my short getaway to Taiwan during my Winter Break. As you guys know, the distance between Korea & Taiwan is not really far. So, I decided to spend my first week of 2014 Winter Break in Taiwan together with my sister. All I can say is that this trip was AWESOME!!

So this #throwback trip was on 21st December - 26th December 2014 (super throwback, right?) As you guys know, Taiwan is all about their Night Market, 야시장. During my six days of stay in Taiwan, I managed to visit most of the night market there which were Shihlin Night Market, Raohe Night Market, XiMenDing and Liuhe Night market. Night market is all about the FOOD, right?

As a tourist, I doesn't want to miss out the chance to visit Taipei 101 and also some tourist attractions. The transportation in Taiwan is as convenience as Korea where I can go to most of the places just by taking the subway.

Managed to go to Kaoshiung for 2 days 1 night to pay a visit to my friend who live there. Kaoshiung is also a nice place to visit as there are lots of tourist attraction too! Went there for nice food and great scenery! That's how I spent my 2014 Christmas Eve.

Unfortunately, there are some places in my itinerary that I couldn't manage to visit ㅜㅜ But, I will definitely be back to Taiwan again!!

Ps: I book my accommodation from airbnb which is very reasonable and the location of my accommodation is very convenience which make this trip even more awesome!
