I bet everyone of you had heard about Nami Island right? It's where the famous korean drama, Winter Sonata took place in! So, our journey started at 8am! Took ITX to Gapyeong 가평 Station! It's my first time taking the ITX and it's really fast & convenient! And the ticket is only KRW4,000 (around RM12 only). Reached 가평 station and the weather is -6! Took a cab to Nami Island! There's lots of tourists! Too bad there are no snow filling the ground like what I imagined :(. But still, the scenery is super beautiful! Let the pictures do the rest part of the talking.
After that, we went to have 닭갈비 where it is famous in that area! Yes! It was delicious!
After that, moving on to the next destination which is Jade Garden. Have you ever heard about Jade Garden? If not, let me tell you some of the drama which filmed in here. That winter, the wind blows, Full House 2 and also Love Rain are the dramas filmed in Jade Garden. This place is beautiful and it's a good place for couples to spend time together! Too bad its winter now! So all the place look so brownish instead of greenish. I will definitely come back during Spring!

Hi^^ I went there with a bunch of friends so I took a cab from Nami Island to Jade Garden. The cab cost around KRW6,000. It took around 15minutes drive from Nami Island to Jade Garden. If you took subway and get off at Gulbongsan Station, there is a free shuttle bus to Jade Garden :)

ReplyDeleteHi! I came across your blog while doing some research on Jade Garden. We're planning to visit the place in Winter (December) this year with my husband and kids. I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions? May I know how much time did you spend in Jade Garden? If from Gulbongsan Station, how can we go to Jade Garden if we are not to take the free shuttle? Is taxi/cabs abundant in the Jade Garden area? I read that the shuttle operates at a few designated times only and should we decide to leave early than the shuttle schedule, are there cabs that we can hail back to the train station? DeleteIn Jade Garden, I spent around 1-2 hours there cause it's a nice place to walk and take some pictures. But that time I went there was winter and it was kinda cold but overall it's worth going.
If you are not planning to take the shuttle bus, you can just take a cab to Jade Garden from Gulbongsan stn. It's nearby so I think the cab fare is not that expensive.
When you are going back to the Stn. from Jade Garden, it's kinda hard to get a cab there. Last time, I went to Jade Garden from Nami Island by cab and I took the shuttle bus from Jade Garden to the Gulbongsan Stn.
